Robert W. Godwin, Ph.D., QME

Dr. Robert Godwin has been conducting psychological and forensic evaluations for the Barrington Psychiatric Center since 1988. Dr. Godwin also provides psychotherapeutic treatment of work injuries and he has developed effective, short-term treatment protocols for work-related psychiatric injuries and post-traumatic stress injuries.

As a leading expert, Dr. Godwin is often asked to assess particularly complex medical-legal cases, involving pre-existing conditions, multiple diagnoses and malingering.

A prolific author and interdisciplinary scholar, Dr. Godwin has published one book and many articles on psychology and how it is related to other fields and disciplines, including physics, biology, anthropology, history and theology.

Dr. Godwin has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge and his master’s in general psychology from Pepperdine University. He received his doctorate in psychology from the California Graduate Institute and his internship was at Camarillo State Mental Hospital.
