Mark Alfano Ph.D., ABPP-ABCN

Dr. Mark Alfano is a board-certified neuropsychologist and rehabilitation psychologist at the Barrington Psychiatric Center (BPC), evaluating patients suffering from mild-to-severe traumatic brain injuries and other neurological conditions.
Currently, Dr. Alfano is the lead psychologist at Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, Santa Barbara.  Prior to his current position, he was senior clinical rehabilitation neuropsychologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  He is an adjunct research psychologist at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  He is the author or co-author of over 20 publications and presentations in the areas of brain injury, assessment and neuropsychology.
Dr. Alfano received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  He has his Master’s and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin.  He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology was at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology-ABPP in both neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology, a fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and member of the International Neuropsychological Society.
